How To Increase Your Literature Skills

Books 2

Most writers have the same wish. It is to become better writers. The process is sometimes long and demanding, but the rewards are numerous. You will find recognition and more people will like to read your lines. There is always some space for improving, no matter how good you are. Literature skills can be implemented in many ways and increasing of these skills can be achieved by following methods.

Read, read and read more

Constant reading of literature will give you mind-opening view about life and everyday situations. It develops the most important skill and that is the skill of thinking. Imagination and logic are coming together to create a new story that is worth of attention. Therefore, always have time to read world’s classics. All those sentence inventions by Shakespeare or Goethe are serving you as a guide and help you create your own style. By reading masters, you definitely become one of them. One more positive habit when reading is certainly taking of notes. Write down the parts that grab special attention and make the book interesting. Revision of these lines helps you understand your preferences. Ask yourself what is in common there when you compare all sentences in general. The answer will give you better insight of the style you like and create. Pay attention to reading, because your literature skills depend of it in many aspects.

Write a diary whenever you can

Keeping track of everyday situations is much more than that. It is a very good habit of creating unique opinion. When your point of view is only yours, then literature skills get a better dimension. This makes you unrepeatable and able to give someone else a special though from your own angle. Take notes in your diary every day if it is possible. Write about old friend you have met, interesting situation in the local bus, the colors of the sky on a rainy day or anything else that provoke your imagination. It is always a special feeling when you read something you wrote long time ago. You can see how your writing has improved over the time and what are the differences in your way of thinking. You were probably crazy in love with the girl from elementary school, but nowadays, she is just a fading shadow in your mind. Diaries serve as a history tellers, but their purpose is much more than that. They create style in writing and progress in thinking.

These are crucial things you should practice in order to increase literature skills. Everyone can be more proficient in writing, so take into account the mentioned pieces of advice. They will help you maintain and develop the art of expressing through words. The beauty of these words is shaped by your uniqueness. Nurture it and give yourself space and time to learn and improve. The results will certainly be visible when readers enjoy in your lines and find the pieces of themselves in the experiences you write about. This connection makes writing one of the best jobs you can enjoy in.

Electronic Music

Music has been getting very electronic lately. At most shows I attend, there’s someone manning the electronic beat, whether he’s a DJ on a laptop, or a guy playing an MPC 1000, or just touching buttons on a big piece of equipment to create an atmospheric hum. Some of this music is conceptual – some artists play for volume, or atmosphere, or to simply pump up the crowd. When you begin with a sample and add layers and layers of sound over it, it becomes more like a novel than a jam session. In a way, it requires as much skill, but as far as live performance goes, which has for many years been a critical way to judge any musician, it’s hard to tell whether a musician is doing anything or if they’re just playing a record.

Not to say that I don’t like listening to such records. They can be complex journeys that involve a lot of thought and planning. But, the days of making it according to your musical chops may be numbered. Instead, many of the sounds are pre-programmed into these machines, making it easier for anyone with an ear to write something catchy and great. It’s not a matter of making music nowadays, is more about knowing how to produce music

Some may lament the influx of electronic music on today’s home audio systems, saying that it makes music easier, and therefore dumber. But there are plenty of highly skilled musicians who don’t necessarily write great songs, who can shred guitar solos, but who don’t know the value of melody. So in a way, I guess all I can hope is that my ear adjusts to the sounds of the future. Music has been getting very electronic lately. The Importance Of Trademarking Your Book

book-925x295

A trademark is a recognizable design, sign or an expression which identifies a product, in this case a book. A name, word, logo, phrase, symbol, image or a combination of these elements are used as an identity. They are placed on the most visible places to identify the book owner. The owner of a trademark can sue in case of trademark infringement. It requires formal registration. “Trademarking your book is a way of branding it” says my friend Binh Rey at Seriously Trademarks. Consumers make purchasing decisions based on the trademarks and the reputation of the brand. It is very important when venturing into the information business. The following are the reasons why you should trademark your book.

Rights

The author retains all the licensing rights to the tittle of their work. Trademarking your book serves to protect it as an intellectual property. A trademark serves to protect the name, tittle, short phrases or symbols of a book that distinguish it from others. It prevents people from using the reputation of your book to publish their work. Your book is the headwaters of intellectual property. Once you become a writer you have entered into the information business. Branding your book is like obtaining a license to create revenue streams from your book. You should focus both on creating a bestselling book and bestselling bye products. From a book comes the long distance learning courses, audio products, newsletters, films and television programs among others.

Marketing

Trademarking your book acts like a communication tool. It serves to convey intelligence and other attributes about the book. A trademark makes it easy for customers to find your book. It easily identifies and distinguishes products in the market place. It helps to distinguish your book in the book store. You will be able to attract many customers and make more sales. Trademarks serve to establish the goodwill between the buyer and the seller. As a result, there is free competition by protecting the goodwill of individual entities. Protecting and trademarking your book helps to protect your trustworthy customers from exploitation. They help book buyers make sound judgment about the quality of a book. One can easily tell the quality of content in the book without opening it.

Growth

Trademarks develop over a period of time. Trademarking your book will help it gather strength in recognition as you continue providing revised editions. The tittle or symbol becomes more significant with time as it becomes generic. The process of trademarking your book enables you to confirm that no one has obtained rights to a similar confusing tittle. This is very important when you are planning to launch a series of books. It is very important to be unique as your book expands into different product categories.

Trademarking gives you the right to use the mark in exchange for payment of royalty. The law of trademarks serves to provide protection against similar usage of authors’ words and designs. Trademarking your book serves to protect your intellectual property and other secondary products developed from it. It links your serial products thus encouraging a successive growth in their reputation. Trade marking your book prevents you from recalling your book after litigation threats. This saves you financial loss and professional embarrassment.
